About Us

My name is Katrina, I live in Waterfoot with my teenage daughter and our cat Willow. I am registered with OFSTED, and have certificates in paediatric first aid, and food hygiene. I am also Qualified as a nominated safeguarding officer (level 3 safeguarding). I have been child minding for over 14 years, and can provide references if needed.

My child care setting is very relaxed, and flexible to meet the needs/interests of individual children. The activities and trips we do are planned around the children's interests and can entail anything from arts & crafts, to visiting farms/zoos, or even a trip to car garage! We love to explore the world around us in as many ways as possible, and will often have a theme for the week, inspired by current cultural/religious festivities (Xmas/Easter/chanukah or different countries etc) or things like pets/dinosaurs/nature.

Being in a small, at home setting, means I have lots of opportunity to give each child plenty of one on one attention and ensure their individual needs are always met. However, I also ensure to regularly take the children to larger settings, like local playgroups, to give them the chance to meet more children, and experience learning and playing as a bigger group.
